Proviso East and Proviso West are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long. The Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Proviso East has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Proviso East lost 6-2 to Willowbrook on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Proviso East were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Proviso West had to settle for a 3-2 defeat against Downers Grove North on Tuesday.

Proviso West has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5-1 record this season. As for Proviso East, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Proviso East beat Proviso West by a goal when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
