Basketball Recap: Battle Ground Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Battle Ground, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past the Heritage Timberwolves with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-25. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Battle Ground found their leader in sophomore Charlotte Clarke, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Clarke. Another player making a difference was Charlie Jones, who had six points and seven rebounds.

Battle Ground's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Battle Ground and Evergreen will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-28 defeat against Shelton on the 14th.
