            Baseball Recap: Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns vs. Delaware Valley Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Wallenpaupack Area extended their losing streak  to four  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-11 in the process. They took  an  8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delaware Valley Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  7-6  on Wednesday.
  JJ Blaum was cooking despite his team's loss,   going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  triple and two  RBI.  Ben Lake also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hit of the season.
As for Delaware Valley,  the  victory  got them back to even at 6-6. The  win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on five straight.
On Delaware Valley's side,  Tim Jason made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed seven innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Jason a new career-high in  strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles and one  run.
 In other batting news, Delaware Valley let  Londyn Hernandez and  Frank Pedone run wild. Hernandez  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI, while  Pedone  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  Hernandez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Liam Onofry, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  double.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallenpaupack Area will challenge North Pocono at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Buckhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.1  runs per game this season. As for Delaware Valley, they will face off against Scranton at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
