Volleyball Recap: Straughn's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Straughn duked it out with Wicksburg on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Blakeley Smith paced Straughn's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith got some help from Kylee Brown and her nine assists. Audrey Lindsey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Straughn's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Wicksburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Straughn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Opp on the 16th. As for Wicksburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Geneva County on the 15th.
