Softball Recap: Lancaster Comes Up Short

Lancaster lost against York back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bruins took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameryn Cauthen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sheridyn Mickles, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for York, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

While Lancaster had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
