Basketball Recap: Seminole Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Seminole, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-47 win over the Lubbock Christian Eagles on Friday. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Seminole pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Lubbock Christian, they moved to 10-6 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Seminole and Lubbock Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Seminole (ranked 54th) will meet Fort Stockton (ranked 765th) at 12:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian will face off against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday up 1,045 places (129 vs. 1174).
