Football Recap: Sumner Skates Past Ocoee with Ease + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Sumner rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 44-13 victory over the Ocoee Knights. Considering the Stingrays have won five matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Taesean Robinson was his usual excellent self, picking up 102 receiving yards and three scores. That's the most receiving touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Sumner's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points on average over those games. As for Ocoee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Sumner will square off against Riverview Sarasota at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Stingrays will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Ocoee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
