Hi-Plains is 6-1 against Lone Star since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will welcome the Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Hi-Plains had just enough and edged out Haxtun 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Hi-Plains was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 16-25, 25-18, 15-7.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lone Star, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Weldon Valley with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Longhorns not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 30th (when they won 3-0).

Lone Star was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.

Hi-Plains' victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Lone Star, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Hi-Plains beat Lone Star 3-1 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
