Basketball Recap: Theodore Sets Scoring Season-High Against Baker

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Theodore). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Baker Hornets on Friday, sneaking past 54-51. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won eight in a row.

Theodore got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordyn Woodyard out in front who posted 15 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Woodyard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Collins, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Theodore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Theodore's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Baker, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Theodore will take on Williamson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baker, they will host Orange Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
