Baseball Recap: La Lumiere Lakers vs. Calumet Christian Patriots
After flying high against South Shore Homeschool Athletics last Thursday, La Lumiere came back down to earth. The Lakers came up short against the Calumet Christian Patriots on Tuesday, falling 18-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lakers of the 8-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Brady Monaghan put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
