Softball Recap: Zion Christian Academy Eagles vs. Franklin Road Christian Minutemen

Zion Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their 15th blowout victory of the season on Monday. They blew past the Franklin Road Christian Minutemen 9-1. Winning may never get old, but Zion Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

MJ McWilliams made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. McWilliams has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. McWilliams was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple and a run.

In other batting news, Elizabeth Wood and Leilia Rains did most of the damage at the plate: Wood went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI, while Rains went 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
