Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Mirage Rattlers vs. La Quinta Blackhawks

The Rancho Mirage Rattlers will take on the La Quinta Blackhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Mirage will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Rancho Mirage will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Palm Desert, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Rancho Mirage secured a 65-59 W over Palm Desert on Monday.

Meanwhile, La Quinta lost 71-50 to Palm Springs on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 708th, while the Indians are ranked 263rd).

Rancho Mirage is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for La Quinta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9.
