Soccer Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elgin on Tuesday, Pflugerville came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 7-0 to the Hendrickson Hawks on Friday. While losing is never fun, Pflugerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 417th, while Hendrickson are ranked 45th).

Pflugerville's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for Hendrickson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Pflugerville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Weiss on the 10th. As for Hendrickson, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Pflugerville Connally on the 10th.
