Baseball Game Preview: Enterprise Hornets vs. Red Bluff Spartans

For the second straight game, Enterprise will face off against Red Bluff. The Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Enterprise has struggled recently with nine losses in a row, while Red Bluff will arrive with six straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Enterprise's offense. They lost 6-0 to Red Bluff on Tuesday.

For Red Bluff's part, they got a great performance from Ever Ovalle as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave Ovalle a new career-high.

At the plate, Red Bluff let Lucas Owens and Ryan Ross run wild. Owens went 3-for-4 with one run and one double, while Ross went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Jaret Bridwell was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Red Bluff pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Enterprise, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-19.
