Golden Valley came into Wednesday's matchup looking for another win against Tehachapi, but Aliya Meza wouldn't allow it. The Warriors came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday thanks in part to Meza, who had 16 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

In the three sets Tehachapi was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 23-25, 25-10, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Golden Valley lost, don't look at Sofia Amaya. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs. Znyah Dennis was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Tehachapi and bumps their season record up to 11-13. As for Golden Valley, they now have a losing record of 13-14-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tehachapi will venture away from home to take on South at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden Valley, they will head out to square off against Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
