Basketball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 56-35 to the Central Christian Cougars. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Fairfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aaliyah Baker went 5 of 12 en route to 16 points along with five steals and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhylee Haskins, who posted five points.

Fairfield now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Central Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-4-1.

Fairfield has already played their next game (against Chaparral), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Central Christian will be playing at home against Solomon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Christian is facing Solomon at the right time seeing as Solomon is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
