After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Blue Ridge, Apache Junction was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the ALA - Mesa North Mavericks by a score of 18-7. The Prospectors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Seth Allen and Crew Germaine certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Allen picked up 96 receiving yards and one touchdown, while Germaine threw for 162 yards and one TD.

Apache Junction's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for ALA - Mesa North, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
