Recap: Leland Cubs vs. South Delta Bulldogs
The Leland Cubs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Delta. Leland lost against South Delta in their previous head to head back in February of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 80-61 score last time.
Jamichael Green was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 22 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists for South Delta. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Green has scored at least 25% of South Delta's points. Emmanuel Sutton was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Leland's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-15. As for South Delta, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Leland will head out on the road to face off against Simmons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Delta, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Shaw at 6:00 p.m.
