Baseball Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Comes Up Short

Upper Dauphin Area made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Halifax, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Colt Bellis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Tyler Erdley was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Upper Dauphin Area has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Halifax, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
