Basketball Game Preview: Potosi Chieftains vs. Pecatonica Vikings

The Potosi Chieftains will head out to face off against the Pecatonica Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Potosi is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games.

Last Tuesday, Potosi made easy work of Cassville and carried off a 65-39 victory. The Chieftains have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pecatonica beat Albany 61-51 on Tuesday.

Potosi pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Pecatonica, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Everything came up roses for Potosi against Pecatonica when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as the squad secured an 81-47 win. In that contest, Potosi amassed a halftime lead of 77-47, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
