Baseball Game Preview: West Stokes Wildcats vs. West Davidson Dragons

The West Stokes Wildcats will face off against the West Davidson Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

West Davidson will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: West Stokes extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Walkertown. West Stokes' win was all the more impressive since the Wolfpack were averaging only 3.05 runs allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, while West Davidson put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for South Davidson. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wildcats. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on four straight.

Ethan McCloskey looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

West Davidson's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for West Stokes, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
