Baseball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview fell victim to Excelsior Springs and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Grandview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayveon Jacobs, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Jacobs is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 8-14-2 when he doesn't).

Grandview's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15-2. As for Excelsior Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.
