Baseball Recap: Wyoming East Comes Up Short

Wyoming East has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.92 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Logan Wildcats, falling 10-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Wyoming East saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miken Smyth, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Wyoming East's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Logan, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wyoming East will challenge Princeton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Logan, they will face off against Chapmanville Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
