Tri-Valley dropped their record down to 17-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Dover Crimson Tornadoes by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Scotties' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Dover, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games.

For Dover's part, Kara Lint tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Lint has posted since back in April.

Looking ahead, Tri-Valley will square off against Crooksville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Scotties are facing the Ceramics at the right time seeing as the Ceramics are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Dover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
