Softball Recap: Miramonte Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Miramonte couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 11-5 to the Newark Memorial Cougars on Friday.

Miramonte saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie McKim, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another was Lucy Daoust, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Newark Memorial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Miramonte does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newark Memorial, they will square off against Archie Williams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
