Villa Joseph Marie extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 8-8. Everything went their way against Plumstead Christian as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The Jems might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Faith Fox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Charlie Dernoski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Suzie Adams, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Villa Joseph Marie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.2.
As for Plumstead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10. They haven't had much luck with Villa Joseph Marie recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
On Plumstead Christian's side, C Jackson and P Hurlock stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jackson went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Hurlock went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That double was Jackson's first of the season.
Coming up, Villa Joseph Marie will venture away from home to square off against Council Rock South at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Plumstead Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
