Baseball Game Preview: Argonaut Mustangs vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks

For the second straight game, Argonaut will face off against Liberty Ranch. Argonaut will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Ranch at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Argonaut fell victim to Liberty Ranch and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Hawks.

For Liberty Ranch's part, the team relied heavily on Nolan House, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave House a new career-high. Garrett Owen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

House wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Liberty Ranch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Liberty Ranch's seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Argonaut, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
