Basketball Game Preview: Sheboygan South Redwings vs. Bay Port Pirates

The Sheboygan South Redwings will challenge the Bay Port Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Sheboygan South and five for Bay Port.

Last Friday, Sheboygan South was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-61 to Green Bay Preble. While losing is never fun, the Redwings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Hornets are ranked 174th).

Meanwhile, Bay Port suffered their closest defeat since January 11, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Sheboygan North by a score of 64-61.

Sheboygan South's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bay Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Sheboygan South won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, slipping by Bay Port 63-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sheboygan South since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
