Volleyball Recap: Speedway Comes Up Short

Speedway lost against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sparkplugs came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0.

While Speedway was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-7, 25-17.

Hayli Clampitt paced Speedway's offense, picking up four kills. Clampitt got some help from Izzy Bigelow and her four assists. Eve Bishop controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Grace Gwin had a dynamite game For Indianapolis Bishop Chatard., getting 12 digs and six aces. That's the most aces Gwin has posted since back in October of 2024.

Speedway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Speedway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Greenfield-Central on the 23rd. As for Indianapolis Bishop Chatard, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Union County on the 23rd.
