Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Hillcrest Huskies

The Jordan Beetdiggers will challenge the Hillcrest Huskies at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Hillcrest will be up against a hot Jordan squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Jordan skirted past Tooele 52-50.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest hadn't done well against Park City recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hillcrest sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 victory over Park City. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted since December 13, 2024.

Hillcrest's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 7-13. As for Jordan, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Jordan was able to grind out a solid win over Hillcrest when the teams last played on January 7th, winning 44-36. Will Jordan repeat their success, or does Hillcrest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
