It was a good run, but McClatchy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Kennedy Cougars could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Lions have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Emilio Godnick was the only thing that stood between McClatchy and a shutout considering he scored both of McClatchy's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

McClatchy's draw makes their record 7-3-3 this season. Meanwhile, Kennedy's record is now 8-3-2.

McClatchy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Grant on the 16th. As for Kennedy, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against West Park on the 16th.
