Volleyball Recap: Okemos Falls Despite Big Games from Maddie Crandell and Mckenzie Gunns

Okemos managed to slip by Grand Ledge the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Comets on Thursday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Okemos ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Okemos had strong showings from McKenzie Gunns, who had nine digs and three assists, and Maddie Crandell, who had seven digs and one assist.

Okemos' defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Grand Ledge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-14-1 record this season.

Okemos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Plainwell on the 18th. As for Grand Ledge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Farmington on the 18th.
