Volleyball Recap: Chesapeake Science Point Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chesapeake Science Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Meade Mustangs. If Chesapeake Science Point was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Meade when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chesapeake Science Point started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-10, 25-12, 27-25.

Anna Wishard paced Chesapeake Science Point's offense, picking up six kills. Wishard got some help from Lianna Torres and her nine assists. Cassidy Benton and Ava Wishard kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Chesapeake Science Point's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Meade, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesapeake Science Point will challenge South River at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meade, they will square off against Severna Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
