Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy Falls to Mount Olive Christian in First Game of Season

Cornerstone Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of Mount Olive Christian by a score of 2-1. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Mount Olive Christian 25-17 in the first set.

The 2-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Cornerstone Christian Academy lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-23, 15-12.

The victory made it two in a row for Mount Olive Christian and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Cornerstone Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Olive Christian, they will challenge Shreveport HomeSchool Sports at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
