Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Liberty County's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Liberty County extended their postseason success on Thursday against Franklin County. They blew past the Seahawks 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Cha'Miya Williams made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Williams was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Mackenzie Walker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauren Davis, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Liberty County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Liberty County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

Liberty County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Cottondale on the 8th. As for Franklin County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 win against Port St. Joe on the 8th.
