Softball Recap: Walhalla Takes a Loss

Liberty hit Walhalla with a six-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Razorbacks fell 10-7 to the Red Devils. The Razorbacks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 18-4.

Walhalla saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Cagle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Walhalla has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Liberty, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

Looking ahead, Walhalla will welcome T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Razorbacks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellow Jackets have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven matchups.
