Softball Recap: Tonopah Falls Short of Pahranagat Valley in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tonopah can now relate to. They came up short against the Pahranagat Valley Panthers on Thursday, falling 16-5. The Muckers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Alyssa Maurer was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Gabrielle Strozzi was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tonopah's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Pahranagat Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

As of now, neither Tonopah nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
