L.W. Higgins suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: L.W. Higgins Hurricanes vs. South Plaquemines Hurricanes

This season hasn't been kind to the L.W. Higgins Hurricanes, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Plaquemines. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

South Plaquemines had a senior duo take command as Byrsten Prout scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and Jovita Lightell scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Prout has scored at least 25% of South Plaquemines' points. Kyrin Davis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 3 steals.

L.W. Higgins' loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for South Plaquemines, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

L.W. Higgins will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McDonogh 35 at 5:00 p.m. South Plaquemines is on the road again on Friday and play against Willow at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th.
