After flying high against Moapa Valley last Wednesday, Sports Leadership & Management came back down to earth. The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls fell to the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights 24-19. The Bulls' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Although Sports Leadership & Management took the loss, they still got scores from Jaliya Lamb, Isabel Roybal, and Naima Ralston.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas found their leader in sophomore Cheyanne Thornhill, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 99 yards and three touchdowns. Thornhill has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times she's played.

Sports Leadership & Management's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
