Hayden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Emporia Spartans by a score of 2-1. Despite the loss, Hayden still got an impressive performance from Ella Foster, who had 18 digs.
Molly Williams was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last three games she's played.
Hayden's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Emporia, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
