Basketball Recap: Howe Comes Up Short

Howe lost against Gunter back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Howe Bulldogs were outmatched by the Gunter Tigers and fell 86-21. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1191st, while the Tigers are ranked 86th).

Howe dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gunter, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing S & S Consolidated the next time they take the court. Gunter will head out to face S & S Consolidated at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Howe will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
