Basketball Recap: Caiden Broughton's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Notre Dame over Eisenhower

Notre Dame was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 68-61 to the Eisenhower Eagles. The Titans were probably out for revenge after losing 83-57 to them when the teams met back in January of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Notre Dame lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caiden Broughton, who posted 23 points and six boards. That was a full 37.7% of Notre Dame's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jaxon Coduti was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Eisenhower, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-16 record.

Notre Dame has already played their next matchup, a 62-52 defeat against San Gorgonio on the 15th. As for Eisenhower, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-48 loss against Fontana on the 15th.
