Softball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

If Jasper was riding high fresh off their 22-1 takedown of Omaha on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Jasper fell just short of the Green Forest Tigers by a score of 17-16 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Green Forest, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Jasper wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-12 win against Norfork on the 22nd. As for Green Forest, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Prairie Grove at 5:00 p.m. on April 1. Green Forest is facing Prairie Grove at the right time seeing as Prairie Grove is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
