Soccer Game Preview: Lake-Lehman vs. Wilkes-Barre

The Lake-Lehman Knights will challenge the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wilkes-Barre will be up against a hot Lake-Lehman team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 14. The Knights never let Hanover Area get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Wednesday. Given Lake-Lehman's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Hanover Area are ranked 243rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wilkes-Barre, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Hazleton Area with a sharp 6-2 victory on Tuesday. Johnny Mendola was a massive factor in the win as he booted in five goals all by himself.

Lake-Lehman's win bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Wilkes-Barre, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5-2.
