Basketball Recap: Culpeper County Skates Past King George with Ease

Culpeper County won the last time they faced King George and things went their way on Friday too. The Culpeper County Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the King George Foxes 62-34. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Culpeper County to victory were AmyAh Robinson and Kelley Hutcherson. Robinson posted 24 points and six rebounds, while Hutcherson dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Robinson's evening made it 32 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brynne Wykle, who earned eight points.

Culpeper County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.

Culpeper County's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for King George, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Culpeper County will venture away from home to challenge Courtland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Courtland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Culpeper County surely won't give up without a fight. As for King George, they will be playing at home against Caroline at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
