Basketball Recap: Capital Beats Spring Valley for Their Fourth Straight Win

Capital came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Spring Valley Grizzlies with points to spare, taking the game 88-71.

Capital's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Spring Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Capital will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mountain View at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Capital knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Mountain View likes a good challenge. As for Spring Valley, they and Bourgade Catholic will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played. Spring Valley is facing Bourgade Catholic at the right time seeing as Bourgade Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
