Basketball Recap: West Hancock Takes a Loss

West Hancock lost against Bishop Garrigan back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Hancock Eagles fell to the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears 48-43. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 36th).

West Hancock's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Bishop Garrigan, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

West Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Garrigan, they will be playing at home against North Iowa at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Garrigan is facing North Iowa at the right time seeing as North Iowa is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
