Softball Recap: Halifax Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Halifax's offense. They came up short against the Susquenita Blackhawks on Monday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Blackhawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Halifax's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Susquenita, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Halifax will challenge Williams Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Susquenita, they will square off against Greenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something the Blackhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
