Soccer Recap: Ragsdale Takes a Loss

If Ragsdale was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Southeast Guilford on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Grimsley Whirlies on Thursday, falling 4-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Grimsley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 back in March.

Ragsdale's goal came courtesy of Caroline Van Thillo, who's now up to three this season.

Ragsdale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Grimsley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2-2.

Coincidentally, Ragsdale and Grimsley will both be playing Northwest Guilford the next time they take the pitch. The Whirlies will host the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
