Baseball Recap: Gaylesville Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Gaylesville and Spring Garden had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Trojans lost 17-8 to the Panthers on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Gaylesville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Spring Garden, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gaylesville will square off against Skyline at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Spring Garden, they will take on Cedar Bluff at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
